Associate Social Workers require supervision to accrue hours towards licensure. This can be difficult if your place of employment does not provide supervision. Lucky for all of us, I provide supervision. Supervision includes weekly meetings in which we discuss current cases, work to learn new skills, and understand the laws and ethical obligations of the field that will be critical for your career as a social worker. I offer individual, dyad, and group supervision at this time.
Master of Social Work students also require supervision to help ensure they are able to meet the requirements of their practicum classes, and to have accountability and guidance while learning about the field. Sometimes the places that we intern at aren't able to provide the supervision required. This is where I can step in. Engaging in weekly supervision can allow students to maintain their placement and move forward with their degrees.
